God Repurposes
Skeletons.

Every man has a closet. This is what God does with what’s in yours.

You have already decided some of it is unusable.

You are half right.

You just got the wrong half.

The Closet

There is a reason you don’t raise your hand.

A reason you sit in the back row.

A reason you change the subject when somebody asks what you used to do.

It is not that you don’t believe God can use a man.

It is that you have quietly decided He can’t use this one.

So you carry it. The marriage that ended. The years you lost. The habit nobody knows about. The thing you did at 24 that still wakes you up at 3 a.m.

And you call it baggage.

Baggage is dead weight. Baggage gets left at the curb.

That is the word the enemy wants you to keep using.

The Turn

God does not waste material.

He is not looking for a man with an empty closet — there isn’t one. He is looking for a man who will finally open the door and let Him decide what the contents are for. Not hidden. Not excused. Repurposed.

What you call it
  • ✕Wreckage
  • ✕Wasted years
  • ✕Disqualified
  • ✕Damaged goods
  • ✕A door that stays shut
What God calls it
  • ❖Raw material
  • ❖Proof He restores
  • ❖Qualified — by mercy, not by record
  • ❖The very thing another man needs to hear
  • ❖A door He fully intends to open

Same skeleton. Same closet. Same man.
Brand new purpose.

❖

“Son of man, can these bones live?”

Ezekiel 37:3 — NIV

“You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.”

Genesis 50:20 — NIV

God asked Ezekiel that question standing in a valley full of dry bones — the deadest thing in scripture. The answer was not “no.” The answer was an army.

If He can do that with a valley, He can do it with a closet.

The Book

Book Two — In Development

GOD REPURPOSES SKELETONS!

Every man has a closet.

This book opens it — not to expose you, but to show you what God can build from what you thought was only wreckage.

A roadmap for acknowledging failure and rising above it. Two game plans revealed.

Who’s Writing This

Dan Barton — white hair and beard, smiling

Dan Barton — Dr. NAD to his readers, Gramps to his grandchildren — is a retired Pastor, Hospital Chaplain, and Hospice Chaplain with more than four decades of ministry across six states.

Before any of that he drove a forklift in a 100° diecast shop, which is where he learned that the common man carries uncommon weight.

He is not writing this book as a man with a clean closet. He is writing it as a man who opened his own — and found out what God had been planning to do with the contents all along.

He is a fellow traveler —

beaten up by the road,

still walking,

and absolutely convinced that God has not finished with any of us yet.
